Traveling with Altered Pocket Letter Pages!

Here we are again having fun with Altered Pages collage sheets and Protector Pages !! In this post, I am sharing some of my beginning stages of my ATC's for my Altered Pocket Page which I am calling "Traveling".  My very first steps were to reprint collage sheets as my previous ones ended up flooded under a whole cup of hot black coffee!  Bummer- I lost my whole cup of coffee! teehee I mean-I have to laugh right? Back to the printer and then,so what if I had to re-cut all of my images! This glitch could have been worse- what if the atc's were completed? Argh! Oh well! On to my project...  Here are some photos of my fancy cut Altered Pages collage picks assembled into the"state"piles      California  New York   Florida , you get the idea?   I first adhered vintage map pages onto my atc cards. Next, I added a bit of color to the maps and then onto the assembly! These four still need e

ParTay SunDay

Hi folks!   It's Jean in sunny, dry and HOT Arizona today. A reminder that the discount code Ladybug is valid until June 30, 2015.  (excludes Mailbox Muse Kits) I decided I want everyone to be happy and what better way than to have a party.... Take some time to enjoy my Pocket Altered Page with a PARTY theme. The contents were fairly simple and down right festive!   Each pocket card could be used to create a birthday greeting or an invitation to a party. I started by cutting 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch ATC cards with Robin's Nest Shocking Pink paper as my background, a little sparkle only makes things better, right? I then applied pastel feathers with Aleens glue.  While that was drying I fancy cut the Party Hats collage #1052 .   This collage has always been one of my favorites!     I then applied the fancy cut images over the feathers with Aleen's glue .  I also added tulle and gems, glitter and trims to the feather cards. The tulle is removal for other proj

Fairy Babies

Hi everyone! It's me Tonya and I am here to share my Pocket Letter which is my very first one I created. I used a variety of printables, Graphic 45 and Glitz cardstock to create this fun page. I love the saying from the  Pocket Quotes 2365 . I dolled them up with bits of cardstock and butterfly punches. I also used the following printables:  Tinted Babies ,  Tea Party Flowers  and  Fairy Wings . There was a lot of fussy cutting but in the end I think everything turned out adorable. I also inked edges of the cards, printed the fly, cherish and inspire sentiments from the computer and added sequins and flat back pearls to finish off the cards. After looking at my page I decided it still needed something else so I added a banner. I punched tiny holes on either side of the Pocket Letter sleeve and threaded the twine in the holes and tied off. Since this is for the Pocket Letter Pals and Altered Pages Swap I have contacted my swap partner, packaged it up n

Altered Pocket Page of the Pharaohs

Hi everyone.  Robin here today.  In the last 10 years or so I have really come to appreciate the beauty of Egyptian art and the grandeur of this ancient civilization.  There is much debate about how the actual builders of the pyramids lived, but there is no doubt at all about its historical significance.  My project today for Altered Pages is an homage to the Pharaohs. I made a full size collage of 7.5 x 10.5, which is the size of the 9 cards before they are cut out.  Final card size is 2.5 x 3.5.  The now retired On The Nile Mailbox Muse kit came with a sheet of images on clear acetate.  I ran the page through my sticker maker and added them to the outside of the pocket page. As you scroll through these photos, see if you can pick out which one is the coin envelope.  Answer is down at the bottom of the post along with the completed pages.  Each of the ATC-sized cards has all four sides dipped in black ink, but it doesn't show on every photo because of how they were sca

Summer Sun & Fun with Pocket Letter Pals

Broke out the random collage box (well stocked with Vintage Text Pages) for the making of a sheet of atc backgrounds . . . I cut the background into the requisite 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch rectangles, and added some fun flat collage images and other Graphic45 papers: Basically Beach! the sentiments are ancient rub-ons Have you participated in a Pocket Letter Pal swap?  Be sure to check the Altered Pages blog pretty much every day this month for more Pocket Letter Pal inspiration. Happy Thursday to you! :)trisha
