Hi Everyone! It's Danie here today sharing a little bit of my Pan Pastels Play with you all.
I decided to film my play showing how easy and versatile it is to use these beautiful colors with other mediums and create interest and texture by creating layers using stencils. Lucky I did this well in advance because this week I have the flu and have lost my voice.....haha.
You will also see how easy it is to achieve different colors. This was my first time using Google Hangouts to record too, so the footage is live at the time of filming and unedited.....For my play today I am using the Pan Pastel Exploring Mixed Media Set No 1. Which has seven different colors, two shades of red, two shades of blue, a yellow green, a white and a black. The kit also contained various applicator sponges and a painting knife and knife covers, everything you need to get started. In my play today I also use a ear bud and my finger to apply and blend the color.
Following my play as seen in the video I used my backgrounds to create the above ATC's, I trimmed them slightly smaller than ATC size and mounted them on some left over Gelli Prints. I combined them with butterfly images from the Beautiful Butterflies Collage Sheet and word strips cut from one of the papers in the Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey Collection.
