I loved making this book!  Almost all of this book is made with items you can get at the  Altered Pages Store  online.  I will point out the items, and give you the links page by page.  I am going to give you the general link, so you can see all the choices you have! First, the cover. I started with a book from  Glitz Designs .   I covered it with  Vintage Text Pages ,and  stencil ed on that with white ink.  That is the link to all the stencils Altered Pages has so you can find all the stencils I used on this book there.  I covered the center with  Joss Paper .  I got the  Altered Art Pack of Tags  and used them throughout the book.  The  Glass Tiles  and   Sari Ribbon  were added and of course, gauze and a flower. Again I used stencils and Joss Paper.  I also painted the pages with  Niji Pearlescent Watercolors .  The  Library Cards and Pockets  are super fun for books! Sunday in Arizona

Below you will find a FUN Video technique using our fabulous product - Faber Castell Gelatos.     BUT first - I like to keep people connected with our little spot on the map. In Arizona Hunting camels is prohibited.    It does make sense because at one time Camels were shipped to AZ for soldiers use in the desert.  There is monument between PHX & Yuma to the Camels and their caretaker "Hi Jolly"*. I know that's fascinating and all, but truth be told.....  YOU really want to see more about ART! Why did I tell you this?   I want to inspire you to draw, paint or collage a Camel.  Not any Camel but one that is Sophisticated or Silly or Sensuous.....share your creations on our Facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/groups/AlteredPagesArtsociates/ Here is perfect Collage to start you off! *Jefferson Davis,  secretary of war in 1856, believed that camels would solve the U.S. Army's supply problems in the western US.  The animals could carry

Fat Book Sticker Fun

Good Morning everyone!! Today I'm sharing with you this easy fat book page that is made with the fabulous 3D stickers and Giant Rhinestones [with sticker backs] from Glitz--which also happens to be on SALE in the store today!!!  I started with a 4×4" piece of cardboard [standard size for a fat book] and layered on paper, ink and stamps. Then I used some of the fabulous 3D stickers. They are layered with foam and then also have a bit of sparkle on them. Something fun I discovered while working with them is that the 2nd layer is actually on a sticker backing...so when I decided to used the raised piece only of the sentiment strip I was able to just peel that off [I used my piercing too to help separate the paper from the card stock sticker] and the adhesive on the back of that layer was enough to glue down the sentiment firmly to my fat book page! The yellow roses are also done in that fashion...I simply peeled them off their backing and stuck them down!  I finished off

Paper flowers , gems and our new Stickles !! So many fun colors!.They are going to rock your socks!  What will you create with our new items? Big Love Melanie
