31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop Day 2

Hi Everyone! It's Danie here today!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop! AlteredPages.com is participating in a month-long blog hop with some amazing bloggers and we don't want you to miss any of their wonderful creations. Be sure to check out their art by following along using the list to the right!

Here in Australia we don't really celebrate Halloween although it is becoming more popular with the children, probably because sweets are involved....lol. Anyhow I took some dark inspiration from the things our foster son loves. He has a poster on his wall which reads - "Stay Calm and Kill more Zombies". It brought to mind pictures of the Un-dead rising up from the earth....(you know the ones from all those scary movies of your youth). So here is what I came up with.

Digi Image:  Anatomy 101 Hand from Smeared Ink
Other Supplies: Red Ink, Sanding Tool.

Thanks for stopping by and your next stop should be our very own Leslierayhe's blog, and you can see all the wonderfully talented artists participating in this fabulously fun hop by following the links on the sidebar.

Have a great day!

  12. Is that Coordinations cs for the frame? Love it! This hand looks like it has a spotlight on it, it is so well colored. Hahaah, still watch those movies in my oldness! Did you color the grass as well, since it looks like there is some green on the hand, from digging through it. Wonderful creation!

Handy Tip for Artists, Recyclers and Neat Freaks! I have a follow-up to the Citra-Sol method for creating fabulous background pages and collages.   I bought a big bag of navel oranges and realized I had the ingredients to make my own solvent!   Simply take a clean glass jar, peel the rind from the oranges and place all the rind/peels, without the pulp (tangerines, oranges, navels) into the jar.   Pour enough vinegar over the peels to cover them.    Allow the jar to sit for a week or two and VOILA!     You have made your own solvent for literally pennies.    You will notice the liquid getting a bit thicker than the plain vinegar and it does not smell bad!!! I now have a  HUGE jar on the window sill!       Be careful and only use this after testing on a safe spot.
